BOOK SIGNING NOTICE

You know how much I love book signings! Want to know why? Because I get to meet those of you who've read my work, and I always make new friends. It's just as exciting for me as it is for you.

I was recently invited to this event, along with other author friends, to meet you and hope you'll support this worthy cause because this event is to purchase bullet proof vests for the K9s who work hand in hand with our police departments. Unfortunately, these furry friends go unprotected. All it takes is one bullet and they're gone forever.

Join in the fun on Saturday, the 18th of October! I will be signing at 2 Sher & Cher Alike, from 10:00-4PM at the Front Porch Festival and Farmers Market located at 7142 N 58th Drive in Glendale, AZ.

I'm sure you can imagine the amount of time and training that goes into each dog, as well as the love and devotion the people who train and care for them feel. C'mon out and support the cause! Their life depends on us.

Two of my newest FAVORITE recipes

COD BATHED IN TOMATO BASED SAUCE WITH ARTICHOKES, OLIVES & PARMESAN CHEESE SERVED OVER QUINOA

1 lb of Cod pieces

2 tbls olive oil

2 whole cloves garlic, crushed

2-15 oz cans Diced Tomatoes

1/2 tsp oregano

1/2 tsp thyme

1 jar marinated artichokes, cut into bite sized pieces

1/2 cup black olives

1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Salt and Pepper to taste.

PREHEAT OVEN to 350 degrees

Clean and dry fish fillets. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste and place in an oblong baking dish. No need to spray.

Using a 2 quart saucepan, add the olive oil and crushed garlic. Brown over medium heat until golden brown. Add tomatoes, dry seasonings and empty the entire jar of bite sized artichoke hearts, including juice. Stir to combine and allow to bubble on stove. Lower heat and allow to simmer five minutes. Add the black olives and 1/2 cup shredded cheese.--stir to combine.

Remove from stove and pour the contents over top of the cod fillets and place in the oven for 25 minutes. I serve this over Quinoa.

Quinoa

2 cups water boiling water

1 cup of quinoa

1 tsp salt

In a saucepan, allow the water to boil. Add the salt and the quinoa. Stir to combine. Allow it to cook 20 minutes on medium heat. Taste for doneness. Quinoa has a nutty flavor 

This make 4 servings. As you can see from the photos, I took them after dinner, but at least you get the idea. :-)

FLOURLESS BLACKBEAN BROWNIES

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 degrees

2-15 oz cans blackbeans, rinsed thoroughly

1/4  cup cocoa powder

1 cup quick oats (I use almond meal to make it Paleo)

1/2 tsp salt

2/3 cup agave syrup

1/2 cup coconut or olive oil

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla

2/3 cups dark mini morsels

Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulsate until the consistency of cake batter. Spray a rectangular baking dish 12X7 1/2X2. Spread the batter evenly and sprinkle the top with mini morsels. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Cool for ten minutes before serving.

Slice into squares and serve. I keep mine in the refrigerator and give it a ten second reheat in the microwave, which is not Paleo, when I serve it.

Servings depends on size of brownie, 15-18.

Christmas is coming! Christmas is coming!

Boy, have I been busy! The Killer Romances box set has been a success so far, the party was a huge hit and I was exhausted but happy afterward. I made lots of new friends and opened my readership up two-fold. 

As I mentioned briefly, I have another box set in the works. Romancing Christmas: 10 Love Stores to Heat Up the Holiday Season. The release date will be late October, early November, but I'll let you know. And, we'll be having another three-day party giving away lots of prizes. We haven't settled on the main prize yet. You know how it is with ten women in one room, right? But what I can tell you is that it will be jewelry!!! We thought we'd try something different, other than the norm of a Kindle Fire because most people already have a Kindle.

I've been working on Insanity Claus. This was previously published with another author and we mutually decided to do our own thing. The good news though is if you haven't read this story, having it in a box set is a real bonus because you're getting nine other authors for $0.99. Hows that for a Christmas present? In the process of getting it ready for the set, I've upgraded the manuscript to an even stronger story. The premise is still the same and I'm sure you'll be pleased. I know, I am. I'm also pretty excited about the new cover because it's classy/sophisticated looking. What do you think?
